Bitcoin Price Forecast 2025: By 2025 Bitcoin could be worth as much as $250,000 (relative to the U.S. dollar) – beating the value of the US dollar so far as its primary global value store. The Wall Street Journal has released a report that highlights the increasing optimism of industry experts and analysts regarding Bitcoin’s trajectory, citing institutional adoption, favourable policy changes, and historical market cycles.
The launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs has “been a game-changer,” the Wall Street Journal reports, and led to record-breaking inflows from retail and institutional investors. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which gained $10 billion in assets over its history, highlights the increasing demand for Bitcoin exposure. The price of Bitcoin is expected to rise in the near future due to this institutional momentum.
Tom Lee, head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, told the Journal that Bitcoin is likely to experience short-term volatility before reaching $250,000 by the end of the year. Lee’s argument is based on three main factors: increased demand for spot Bitcoin ETFs, limited supply after the recent halving of the Bretton Woods market, and a positive macroeconomic environment as interest rates continue to fall. The Journal’s Matt Hougan highlights the rapid growth of Bitcoin ETFs among institutional investors, stating that the cryptocurrency could potentially attract assets worth trillions of dollars.
Policy changes are also a significant factor. As per the Journal, U.S.” President Obama’s administration has been in favor of cryptography, including the creation of a strategic Bitcoin reserve to promote the asset’ upsurge.
Despite some volatility, the Wall Street Journal reports that major analysts are confident that Bitcoin will reach $250,000 by 2025, potentially changing the world’s financial system and challenging the U.S. dollar’ll be dominant.
