Varun Beverages Reports 5% Rise in Q2 2025 Net Profit Despite Dip in Sales Volumes

Varun Beverages Ltd (VBL) reported a 5% year-on-year increase in net profit for the second quarter of 2025, overcoming a 3% decline in consolidated sales volumes attributed to early monsoon rains affecting demand.

In a move reflecting strong shareholder returns, the company also declared a 25% interim dividend. Additionally, VBL expanded its international footprint by acquiring a 50% stake in Everest Industrial Lanka, strengthening its presence in the Sri Lankan market.

 

Despite weather-related challenges, the company’s profitability remained resilient, supported by operational efficiencies and strategic initiatives.

Varun Beverages witnessed a strong rally in today’s trading session, surging over 5%. The stock opened at ₹486.10, touched an intraday low of ₹478.05, and then rebounded sharply to hit a high of ₹514.80. It eventually closed at ₹512.15, marking a gain of 5.21% for the day.
